How Do I Set Up the Ambition MCP Connector?

The Ambition MCP Connector lets Claude, ChatGPT, and other homegrown agents to securely access your Ambition data — so you can ask questions, pull reports, and take action without ever leaving your conversation.

Connecting takes just a few minutes and only needs to be done once since the MCP Connector will use 30-day refresh tokens that renew the connection automatically.

  • The AI: Manage permission is required to set up the Ambition MCP Connector.

How Do I Cconnect Ambition to MCP-Capable Clients?

  1. Go to Administration --> Ambition Agent --> MCP --> Enable Access.

  1. Under the Enable Access section, use the drop-down menu to select who can enable the MCP connector, and then click Save MCP Access.

  1. Once you have enabled access, copy the MCP Connection URL.

  1. In a separate browser window or in your agent's desktop app, open the Connectors page and add a new custom connector.

  1. In the custom connector form, name your connector, paste the Ambition MCP Connection URL and click the Add button.

  1. Go to the Connectors tab and view the Not Connected portion of your agent's desktop app.

  1. When the MCP Connect Screen is displayed click the Connect button.

  1. When the Ambition screen is displayed, click Authorize to authorize the connection.

Where Can I View My Organization's MCP Connections?

Users with system Administrator permissions can view all employees' MCP connections by going to Administration --> Ambition Agent --> Audit --> MCP Connections.

You can revoke a user's MCP connection by clicking on the breadcrumb menu and selecting "Revoke."
