How To Set Up the Ambition MCP Connector

The Ambition MCP connector lets Claude, OpenAI, and other homegrown agents securely access your Ambition data — so you can ask questions, pull reports, and take action without ever leaving your conversation. Connecting takes just a few minutes and only needs to be done once.

You must have Admin Access to set up the Ambition MCP Connector.

Enable the Connection In Ambition

  1. In Ambition, navigate to Administration > Agent and click on the MCP tab.

  2. Click the "Enable Access" button, select who can enable the MCP connector, and then click "Save MCP Access".

  3. Once you have enabled access, copy the connection URL - you will need it for the next part of the process.

Set Up the Connector

  1. In a separate browser window or in your Agent's desktop app, open the Connectors page and click the plus sign to add a new custom connector.

  2. In the custom connector form, name your connector and paste in the connection URL you copied inside Ambition. Click "Add".

Connect Ambition MCP

  1. Select the Ambition MCP in the "Not Connected" portion of your Agent's desktop App.

  2. When the MCP connect screen is displayed click "Connect".

  3. When the Ambition screen is displayed, click "Authorize" to authorize the connection.
