Manual Entry

Turn on Manual Entry to track metrics without setting up a data integration. Perfect for new companies, small teams, and hard-to-automate metrics.

Setup

  1. Open the left navigation and click Administration > Data > Integrations.
  2. Click Manual Entry from within the Available Integrations section to enable.
  3. Click the Data Format tab. Input desired metrics under the Field Mappings section.

For example, if you wanted to manually track "Example Metric #1" and "Example Metric #2":

  1. Click Save Data Format.
  2. When ready for metrics to be visible to your employees click the Settings tab and disable Sandbox Mode.

Entry

Data is entered on a daily basis, not for a given week or month.
Data is entered as a cumulative total for a given day.
Data can be entered historically and into the future.

For example, you create a Calls metric. You cannot enter 100 calls for the month of July, instead you must enter 20 calls on July 1st, 60 calls on July 2nd, and 20 calls on July 3rd.

Spreadsheet Entry

Admins, managers (optional), and specified accounts (optional) can enter data for multiple people through an embedded spreadsheet.

  1. Open the left navigation and click Administration > People > Permissions.
  2. Find the Data: Entry permission and check/uncheck accordingly.

Want to assign a permission to a specific account? Scroll down to the bottom and click the green Assign Permission button.

  1. The spreadsheet can now be accessed by opening the left navigation and clicking Administration > Data > Manual Entry.

Form Entry

Employees can optionally enter data for themselves through an embedded form.

  1. Open the left navigation and click Administration > People > Permissions.
  2. Find the Data: Entry permission and check that Can Enter Own Data under the Employee column.
  3. The form can now be accessed in the top right corner of the top navigation.
