How can I use Webex with Ambition?

How do I enable and authorize Webex within Ambition?

Webex Integration Overview

Through Ambition's Webex integration you can send Workflow notifications directly to Webex spaces and Webex users to further drive employee engagement and recognition.

The name and Ambition profile image of the employees being recognized will be featured alongside the workflow's content.

Ambition's connection to Webex will be authorized by a Webex user. Ambition will be able to post messages in any spaces where the authenticating user has been invited. Workflows will also feature the authorizing user's name. A workflow will display as being sent from "Ambition via 'username of authorizing user'". Since messages will be delivered through the authorizing user and Webex will not allow you to direct message yourself, the authorizing user will not be able to receive a workflow alert through a Webex direct message.

Enable and Authorize Webex Integration

1. Open the left navigation and click Administration > Data > Integrations.

2. Click the + Enable Integration button.

If this is the first integration enabled in your instance, you will skip this step and begin at step 3.

3. Locate the Webex integration and click "Enable Integration" in line with the Webex integration name and icon. 

You will be redirected into the newly enabled Webex integration.

Upon enabling you will be redirected into the integration. To enter the Webex integration anytime after original enabling:

Once enabled, the Webex integration will appear on the Integration Management page.

4. Click Edit in line with the Webex integration.

5. Click on Authorization.

6. Click Authorize to begin the Webex authorization.

7. Input your Webex credentials and click Accept when prompted.

8. Upon successful authorization, you will be redirected to the Webex integration within Ambition. Successful authorization will be signaled by a green check mark.

If at any point in time Webex and Ambition should no longer be connected, click the Revoke Access option.

9. After authorization, Ambition Workflows can now be sent to Webex spaces where the authenticating user has been invited or to Webex users through the "Send Webex Message" action.
