Upload Custom Scorecard Targets
Multiple Targets, For Multiple Metrics, Per Row Format
Separate files for activity and objective score will need to be uploaded with this format.
Each row of the CSV file can represent multiple targets, for multiple metrics, for multiple time frames, per user.
Ex. If I needed to upload 12 months of custom revenue AND pipeline created targets for Caleb, my CSV would contain 1 row. The single row would contain Caleb's revenue AND pipeline created targets for all 12 months.
We've found this format helpful for:
- Adjusting custom targets for tenured reps where every metric on a scorecard may need a custom target
- When formulas needs to be used to set multiple custom targets on the same scorecard. Ex. adjusting an AE's pipeline created target based on their custom monthly revenue target.

Generate Template
Generate a template to download any existing custom targets and to get a plug and play template you can reupload!
1. Select the appropriate Ambition Score, Activity or Objective Score. Which "score" are the metrics you wish to upload custom targets a part of?
2. Optionally, update template's start and end time frame if you wish to upload targets for a specific range. The selected start and end date will determine the date columns that will appear on the template.
For Activity Scores, dates shown on the downloaded template will default to the Monday of the selected week.
You can upload targets up to a year in advance.
Targets cannot be uploaded for dates in the past.
3. Search for and select the Role(s), or other group type used for scoring, that contain users who need custom targets uploaded.
You can select multiple roles at once. The template will be divided by roles if multiple groups are selected.
The roles selected determine which metrics are available to add to the template in the next step.
4. Select the metrics where custom targets need to be set.
5. Click Download Template.
Add Custom Targets to Template
1. Open the downloaded template.
If multiple roles were selected when generating the template, each role will be separated by a blank row to make it easier to locate the respective users and metrics.
You are able to upload multiple metrics for one role and a single metric for another role, but be mindful of the time frame headers when inputting custom targets!
2. Add the respective custom targets into the template.
Things to Note:
- Revenue targets can be formatted with or without "$" and ","s. Ex. You could upload "10000", "$10,000", "10,000", or "$10000" and the user's revenue target will be set as ten thousand dollars.
- Targets of "0" cannot be uploaded.
- Cells can be left blank if there are users who do not need a custom target set. You are not required to remove unnecessary user rows from the CSV as a blank cell will simply be ignored.
- If a user only needs a custom target for a set time period, a "-" can be input to signify when the custom target should no longer apply. ex. Account Executive, Caleb only has a custom "open pipeline" target for the month of June.
3. Export the template as a CSV to upload into Ambition.
Upload Custom Targets Through .CSV File
1. Click Upload CSV.
While custom targets for users in multiple roles and metrics can be uploaded at once, reminder that targets for both Activity and Objective Score cannot be uploaded in the same file. Separate files will need to be uploaded if custom targets for both Activity and Objective Scores need to be added.
2. Verify the accuracy of the targets you are attempting to upload.
Review the employee, scorecard, metric, start time, end time if applicable, and target.
3. Click Submit.
