"Create Challenges" Permission
What does the permission include?
The permission of “Competitions: Create Challenge” has two levels of access:
- Can Create Challenges for Anyone
- Can Create Challenges for Managed Users/Groups
What can a user create with each level of access?
Can Create Challenges for Anyone:
- Allows the user to create challenges with any user or group as the competitors.
- The user will only be able to edit and delete challenges they create.
Can Create Challenges for Managed Users/Groups:
- Allows the user to create challenges with any user or group they manage as the competitors.
- The user will only be able to edit and delete challenges they create.
What if the “Competitions: All Access” permission is already added to the system manager permission set?
As with all our permission sets, we give access based on the highest level of permission. If managers already have “Competitions: All Access” permission, they will experience no change in access.
If you wish to remove "Competitions: All Access" permission and allow managers to only create challenges for all users or users they manage, they will lose access to creating and editing fantasy competitions. They will only be able to edit and delete challenges they have created.
If a manager's permission is updated from "Competitions: All Access" to "Can Create Challenges for Managed Users/Groups", they will be able to view and export data for historical challenges they've created for other users as well, but if they attempt to edit the competitors, the competitor selection will only allow them to include users and groups they manage.
How do I update the manager permission set?
If you wish to remove the "Competitions: Can Create Challenges for Managed Users/Groups" permission from managers or adjust the level of access, learn how here.
If more appropriate for specific managers to have create challenge permission rather than all managers, you can grant individual permission as well! Learn how here.
