What is the manager homepage?
The homepage gives managers an actionable view into the tasks, metrics, and insights they need to keep their teams performing at a high level.
Where will I find my manager homepage?
The manager homepage can be found on managerial dashboards. When accessing your managerial dashboard, you will land on the homepage tab first.
The homepage tab is only accessible to the respective manager, ex. Carson's manager homepage can only be seen by Carson.
The manager homepage will be only be accessible to managers when:
- scorecards are set up for users they manage
- the manager has access to coaching features
- the manager homepage is enabled for their organization
All three of the above criteria must be met in order for the homepage tab to be available for a manager. If the above criteria is met, the homepage will be available and cannot be opted out of at this time.
Access Your Managerial Dashboard
1. Open the left navigation and select Dashboards > Managerial.
You can set your managerial dashboard as your landing page, the first page that will load when accessing Ambition, by updating your "landing page" choice within your user settings.
2. The manager homepage will be the first tab on your managerial dashboard.

Tasks
The task list provides an overview of open coaching tasks. The tasks list can be viewed as tasks due “Today” or “This Week”.
Tasks are clickable and can be interacted with directly on the homepage. Tasks are also filterable by type, employee, and/or group. While filterable, the filters are not saved and the types of tasks that appear cannot be customized.
Task types include:
- Check-Ins that are pending approval where the manager is the primary manager (not a co-coach)
- Action Items
- Asks
North Star Objective Metric
The north star objective metric is the highest weighted metric from your managerial objective scorecard. If your organization does not use objective scores, you will not see a north star objective metric.
In the case of managing users from multiple roles or when scorecards have a tie for highest weighted metric, the metric displayed is the one with the highest target.
Example:
Robert is a VP of Sales and manages both Account Executives and Sales Development Reps.
The highest weighted objective metric for Account Executives is Revenue at 50%
The highest weighted objective metric for Sale Development Reps is Appointments Set at 80%
Appointments Set will be the north star metric on Robert's homepage since its weighting is higher.
Can the north star metric be customized?
Yes, if your organization chooses. Users with "Ambition Scores: Edit" permission can customize the north star metric per scorecard within the scorecard editor. A metric must be a part of a role's objective score to be set as the north star metric. If a manager manages users from multiple roles where defaults and custom north star metrics are being used, the highest weighted metric will display.
Highest and Lowest Performing Activity Metric
The highest and lowest performing metrics will dynamically update based on the percent-to-target achievement during the current activity score period.
Can the activity metrics be customized?
Yes, if your organization chooses. If the "Homepage: Customize Activity Metric Cards" permission is given to managers, you will be able to customize the metric cards shown on your homepage. If you have permission to customize these cards, a gear icon, , will be present in the upper right corner of the activity cards. Clicking on the gear icon will open a modal where you can select another activity score metric that you wish to have on your homepage instead of the dynamic highest and/or lowest performing metrics. The updates made to the cards on your homepage do not impact the homepage of any other manager.
Insights
Insights are deviations from an employee's average performance for the metrics that are a part of their scorecard.
The last 90 days of an employee's average performance is analyzed and an insight is generated if an employee is performing at 95% above or below their personal average.
New insights are delivered daily. Insights can be acted upon by clicking the plus icon, , or dismissed by clicking the x icon, . Insights cannot be customized at this time.
