Release Notes

The release notes, which are grouped by release date, include descriptions of new features, changes to existing features, and resolved issues. 

Releases for new features & product improvements are scheduled for Tuesday and Thursday nights. Additionally, releases may be conducted on an as-needed basis and can occur any day of the week. For more information on Ambition's maintenance and release schedule, click here.

Version 3.345.0

New Features:

• Challenges - AI Insights: Challenge insights are AI generated details that dive into metric performance data, competitor statistics and rankings, score progression projections and trends of a challenge while also incorporating historical competition data and patterns. Learn more challenge insights here.
• Coaching - Pipeline Snapshot Agenda Item: Pipeline views and templates can now be embedded directly within a coaching agenda. When creating a coaching agenda, select the "pipeline snapshot" agenda item, select a prebuilt view/template, ask a question, and pipeline conversations will seamlessly be a part of the coaching moment. The pipeline intelligence feature must be enabled. Learn more about the new agenda item here.

Changes to Existing Features:

• Accolades - Update Modal: When making an update to an accolade's metric timeframe, the deletion modal will now feature the count of and list the exact achievements that will be invalidated and deleted with the change.
• Competitions - Game Details Page Updates: Challenges and fantasy competition matchups have a new look! Details about the competition will be featured on the left side of the page, and the competitor leaderboard will be on the right.

Resolved Issue:

• Metric Form - Verify Tabs and Button Styling: Resolves styling issues with the "metric" and "record" tabs within the "verify" section, and addresses styling issues with the save icon on the confirm and save changes button.

• Pipeline Intelligence - Additional Operators: Filters within pipeline intelligence now offer Is Blank and Is Not Blank operators. 

Resolved Issue:

• Pipeline Intelligence - True/False Filtering: Resolves an issue where filtering by boolean values was causing an error.

New Feature:

• Permission - Show Stack Ranking References: A yes/no permission that determines if users are presented stack ranking information on metric cards and goal contribution. If set to no, users will not be able to see "compare against", "leader", and "sort by rank" information on dashboard metric cards. When viewing group goals, the contribution of others will be hidden from view as well.

Change to Existing Feature:

• Column Grids - Pinned Column: A shadow is added to pinned columns, when a column does not move when horizontally scrolling, to help indicate that the column is pinned.

Change to Existing Feature:

• Check-In - Reopen Check-In Request Option for Employee: If a check-in has expired, employees will now have a "reopen my check-in" option within the action menu. The respective manager will be sent an email notifying them of the request. If appropriate, the manager can then reopen the check-in.

Change to Existing Feature:

• Workflows - Email an Employee's Manager: New email option of "send an email to the manager of whoever triggered the workflow (dynamic)" is available for scheduled leaderboard, metric based, and record based workflows. To support workflows being more reusable across multiple groups of employees, you can now select the "dynamic manager" option, and the respective manager will be notified.

Change to Existing Feature:

• Single Sign-On - Expire Session at Browser Close: On the single sign-on form, there is an additional on/off option of "expire session at browser close". When "off", Ambition will preserve a user's session and prevent them from being logged out when the browser is closed.

New Feature:

• PDF Export for Check-Ins: Expanding the check-in export options by now supporting PDF exports. Up to 100 check-ins can be exported at a time. The exports will include check-in details, agenda items and their responses, comments, notes, action items, and rating category information. Learn more here.

Change to Existing Feature:

• Default Notifications Tab with Organization Settings: Support for turning Ambition's default email notification off (and turning them back on again) is being introduced through a "default notifications" tab. At this time, the accolade achievement email can be turned off at the organization level. If turned off, no accolade achievement emails will be sent to any user in Ambition.

Change to Existing Feature:

• Workflows - Level of Access: Report workflows, scheduled analytics and coaching reports, now have a "level of access" selection which includes options of: public, authenticated, and restricted. Select the level of access that's most appropriate for your report workflows by determining if you want users to have to be logged in to Ambition before downloading the report, or if only the creator of the workflow should be able to download.

Resolved Issues:

• Metrics Tab - Leaderboard Feature: When the leaderboard feature is turned off, metric cards will no longer feature a button to the "leaderboard".
• Recurring Check-Ins - Last Modified Time: Editing recurring check-ins successfully updates the last modified time.
• Coaching and Integrations Selector Visibility: Text that was previously getting cut off within dropdown selectors now wraps and is visible.
• User Management - Invite Button: Resolves an issue where the "invite user" button was appearing for users who had logged in through single sign-on.

Changes to Existing Features:

• Workflows - Additional Reporting Columns: Three new columns are added to the workflows grid, actions, total alerts, and most recent alert, to provide insight into which workflows are sending out alerts and where these alerts are going. The actions column features an icon that represents where the workflow is being sent, ex. icons for Email, Slack, and TV, to provide an at a glance overview of where workflows are going. The total alerts column contains a count of how many alerts have gone out about the workflow, ex. If a workflow fired and it was sent to both Slack and Email, the totals alerts will be 2. The most recent alert column reflects the date and time of the last time an alert was sent out about the workflow. 
• Anthems - Vimeo Support: Vimeo videos can be used as Ambition anthems through Vimeo's "Sharing" link option.

• Metric Snapshot Agenda Item: Resolves an issue where the metric snapshot date and time was not displaying for an employee when answering the agenda item.

Changes to Existing Features:

• Auto Expire Links to Workflow File Attachments: Ambition supports sending scheduled analytics and coaching reports that contain a link to a file attachment of the requested data. By default, links to file attachements will expire 14 days after being sent. If a user tries to interact with the file attachment link after the 14 day window, they will receive a 404 error.
• Revoke Access to Workflow File Attachment Links: If you need to revoke access to a workflow file attachment link before the 14 day time frame is up, you can manually expire links to workflow attachments directly from the workflow > events grid. Learn more here.
• Additional Columns on the Workflows > Events Page: A column featuring workflow "type" was added to to the workflow event and jobs pages, and filtering by type is supported. Additionally on the events page, columns of "attachment status" (active/expire) and "attachment expires at" were added to highlight if links to workflow file attachments are still accessible.

Resolved Issue:

• Final Group Check-In: Resolves an issue loading group check-in when they are on their final recurrence.

• Bulk Approve Check-Ins: A permission of "Coaching: Can Complete Check-Ins Outside of the Check-In Page" can be assigned to permission sets or individuals and allows for bulk approving (marking complete) up to 500 check-ins at a time from the manage coaching page.

Changes to Existing Feature:

• Quick Actions - Action Item: "Action Item" is now an option in the coach and develop quick actions list (both on the managerial homepage and the quick actions button in the top right).

Resolved Issue:

• Accolade Export: An additional column of "configuration type" gives context to whether the accolade supports single level or multi-level achievements.

New Feature:

• Metric Snapshot Agenda Item: The metric snapshot agenda item replaces and expands the functionality of the existing metric snapshot agenda item. You can choose to snapshot up to 8 metrics across a single timeframe or one metric across two timeframes in a single agenda item.

  Existing "Metric Snapshot" agenda items will still be available for use in existing coaching agendas and can still be edited, but all metric snapshots agenda items created moving forward will use the new metric snapshot agenda item. Learn more here.

Change to Existing Feature:

• User Management Export - Activation Date: The user management export now contains each user's activation date.

Resolved Issue:

• Cadences - Multiple Steps Opening: Resolves an issue where multiple cadence steps were opening on the same day.
• Restored Missing Pagination: Added a pagination bar to pages that were previously lacking the option to go to the next page: competition overview, accolades, accolades achievements, check-in, group check-in, and action plan.
• Salesforce Objects Not Uploading: Updated the character limit to account for larger header sizes.

• Create Challenge Button - Subtext Formatting Issue: The subtext is now properly positioned below the heading instead of beside it for the create challenge button.
• Restore Green Color of Checkmark Icons: There were unintentional color changes to some icons that came with the Font Awesome upgrade. Checkmarks and "x"s are now green and red again instead of black or gray.
• Last Login Date: Updated the Google Analytics' site tag to ensure the last active date is updating as expected.

• Start 1:1 Now Check-In - Remove Content Block If Template is Selected: This resolves an issue where the auto-populated content block was not removed when a user selects a specific template. If the user has entered text, images, etc into the content block and then selects a template, the content block is not removed but moved to the end of the agenda.
• Update Coaching Menu Icons: Use "regular: style icons for all coaching menus that are accessed through the ellipses icon, .

Resolved Issue:

• Coaching Analytics: Improved page performance of the coaching analytics page that had previously led to a page timeout.

• Coaching Data - Export: Resolves an issue where coaching questions and answers would be in the incorrect column when exporting large amounts of data.
• Metric Selector: Updated scroll sensitivity to improve how quickly metrics load within a metric selector, ex. selecting a metric for a leaderboard.
• Cadence Effectiveness - Headers: Restores the table headers on the cadence effectiveness tab.
• Metrics Tab - Pluralization: Correctly pluralizes group names dashboard metric cards, ex. territory to territories.

• Program Details Page: Coaching programs now have a more accessible details page which makes it easier for managers to view and edit the program itself. • Button Styling: Resolves an issue where button text was impacted for a resizing of the buttons.

Changes to Existing Features:

• Check-Ins - Improved Saved Filter Experience: The new Coaching Saved Filter experience, available on the check-ins tab in the left navigation or on the manage > check-ins tab, provides users with a streamlined way to create, manage, and edit their coaching saved filters. To create a new saved filter, users can navigate to the check-in page and open the filter drawer. The user may make any number of filter selections or combinations they desire and then click "+ Create Saved Filter".
• Workflow Emails - Unsubscribe from Emails: Adds an unsubscribe link within workflow emails. Users can unsubscribe from email notifications per workflow type. The exception of unsubscribing from workflow email notification is if the user's email is manually input into the "send an email to the following" section on an email action. Users will still receive those email notifications even if they are unsubscribed from the workflow type.

Resolved Issue:

• Hierarchy Selections: Resolves an issue where selections of specific groups or users were being overridden in the hierarchy selector.

• Reorder and Resize Columns on Coaching Grids: Coaching grids allow columns in the table to be reordered and resized. If a given column is smaller than the text or date information within the column, the text is truncated and "..." is added to the end of the visible content. Truncated content can be viewed in its' entirety by either resizing the column or as a tooltip displayed on hover.

• Notifications - Unsubscribe from Workflows: Each workflow email type can now be unsubscribed from on a user's notification page. A notification toggle is added for each workflow type. Users will still receive those email notifications even if they are unsubscribed from the workflow type.
