Ambition Scorecards
Prerequisites
- You have defined the single group type that scorecards will use.
- You have created groups and filled them with the appropriate users.
- You have created metrics.
Set up Scorecards
Users with the "Ambition Scores: Edit" permission will be able to access scorecards and edit scorecard targets.
1. Open the left navigation and click Administration > Scorecards.
2. Select the Role, or appropriate group type, that you wish to score.
Note: If you needing to update the group type that scorecards are built off of, reach out to gethelp@ambition.com. Because of the global impact and data loss, updating the scored group type is not editable by end-users.
3. Establish Activities by adding metrics, setting targets, and assigning weights.
Activities can be scored on a daily or weekly basis. By default, they are scored daily. If you need the scorecard time frame updated, reach out to gethelp@ambition.com.
Example of a daily activity target: 50 Calls per day.
↳ There is not currently support for setting a specific target for Monday, a specific target for Tuesday, etc - but rather you set a single target should be applied for every day of the week.
Example of a weekly activity target: 100 Calls per week.
Don't see metrics? You will need to set up the needed data integrations and build metrics first!
Did you build metrics but still don't see them? Make sure your integration isn't in sandbox mode.
Click on Add Metric to view the metric dropdown.
Continue adding metrics with the needed target and weight/importance.
If you are unsure of the target that should be used, clicking Calculate Target will analyze 12 weeks of data, if applicable, and set a target that is at the 80th percentile. Learn more here.
If you utilize a Weekly Activity Score and also have prorating enabled, you can update the Prorate Target toggle to be on or off. Learn more about prorating here.
Note about Duration Metrics
If Talk Time is calculated in seconds, the scorecard's target will also be represented in seconds. For example, if the desired target is 2 hours of daily Talk Time, input 7200 as the target.
Curious how your team would perform against the scorecard configuration?
Clicking View Analytics will reveal a histogram and leaderboard based on 30 days of historical data if available.
4. Establish Objectives by adding metrics, setting targets, and assigning weights.
Objectives can be scored on a weekly, monthly, or quarterly basis. By default, they are scored monthly. If you need the scorecard time frame updated, reach out to gethelp@ambition.com.

Customize North Star Objective Metric for Manager Homepages
After objective score metrics are added to a scorecard and the manager homepage feature is enabled, you will see a "Set North Star Objective" option in the objective score section of the scorecard editor.
If you wish to override the default of the highest weighted metric, click "Set North Star Objective" and "Custom". Click the star beside the metric you wish to be the north start metric. Click "Confirm North Star Selection."
Advanced Scorecard Options
Click on the gear icon beside the metric's target to access advanced options.
Option 1 - Scoring Range
Set a Start or Stop for specific Activities and Objectives.
Start = Employee must reach this value before earning points toward their Activity/Objective Score.
Stop = Employee can no longer earn points towards their Activity/Objective Score beyond this value.
Option 2 - Scoring Type
Lower-is-Better Metrics on Scorecards
Learn more about adding Lower-is-Better metrics to Scorecards here.
If you'd like to add advanced scorecard features to your company's account, access the Features page within Ambition. Left navigation > Administration > Features, and toggle Scorecards: Advanced Options to "On". If you have any questions, reach out to your Customer Success Manager, or send us a note at gethelp@ambition.com to learn more.
6. Click the Saves Scores button.
7. Confirm that you understand the changes being made will result in scores being recomputed by typing I UNDERSTAND.
Then click the button stating, I Understand, Show me the Next Warning.
8. Type I UNDERSTAND for Objective Score and click I Understand, Save Scores.
Your newest scorecard configuration will then be reflected across Ambition.
By default, scorecard changes are effective from This Week, This Month, or This Quarter forward based on your respective Scoring Time Frame.
If you need scorecard changes to be reflected historically, reach out to gethelp@ambition.com.
Making changes retroactively is not something we recommend carrying out regularly as we want end users to have a clear understanding of their metrics and targets.
