Historical Data in Ambition
Ambition holds tools that make recognizing trends and highlighting progress a breeze, so we recognize historical reporting is appealing.
As laid out in the "Data Validation" section, by default Ambition will not generate metric data for a user before they are added to Ambition.
Alongside importing historical data, your user's activation history dates will be back-dated to the desired point in time to allow for historical data attribution.
Historical Data for Salesforce
Once metrics are finalized and validated, Ambition can attempt to import historical data from Salesforce to provide up to four quarters of historical data.
As mentioned above, user activations will be back-dated as well. User backdating allows for historical data attribution.
"Attempt" is used due to the nature of historical pulls. Salesforce can limit the amount of records that Ambition is able to access at once. For this reason Ambition limits the date range for up to four quarters. Even with this caveat, we want to provide full transparency that this is an "attempt", not a 100% guarantee.

Historical Data for API, FTP, File Upload, or Manual Entry
Once metrics are finalized and validated, your organization can send up to four quarters of historical data.
As mentioned above, user activations will need to be back-dated by Ambition Support as well. User backdating allows for historical data attribution.
