Users, Groups, and Permission Sets
After setting your Organizational settings, you should build out your organization's Ambition hierarchy and permission sets for users at various levels in the hierarchy.
Setting permission sets
Before adding users and creating groups, we recommend first determining what permissions should be assigned to organizational, admins, and individual users in your instance.
There are three Permission Sets: Admin, Manager, Employee.
Admin cannot be changed and includes all available individual Permissions.
Manager and Employee can both be customized to your organization's needs.
You can learn more about Ambition's permission offerings here.
Tailoring permissions sets in advance guarantees that the right people have access to the right information from the start. Doing so can also prevent frontline representatives from inadvertently being able to access admin- or manager-only Ambition features or other agents' coaching data and other sensitive information.
Adding Users
Adding Users is a critical step in getting Ambition configured. Ambition only processes data for the users currently in the platform, making User set up a prerequisite for data integration.
- If you're integrated with Salesforce, we recommend you Sync Users from Salesforce.
- If you're uploading less than 15-25 Users, we recommend uploading Users manually.
- If you're uploading more than 15 Users, we recommend CSV upload.
Grouping Users Within Ambition
Ambition uses a type-based hierarchical model to organize your Users into teams, divisions, offices, competitions and more.
