Through setting custom targets you can:

- Adjust Individual Targets in line with unique skills or talents
- Adjust overall business expectation to accommodate seasonality or specific initiatives
Note: Ambition does not support setting Targets of 0 except for lower-is-better metrics.

How do I set, edit, or remove individual targets?

Example: Account Executive Seasonality
To accommodate business seasonality, the default Account Executive Revenue Target has been set to transition from a $20,000 target in March to a $25,000 target in April to a $30,000 target in May. The target can be lowered back to $20,000 in June as sales slow back down.
Example: New Employee Ramp
Adela, a new Sales Development Representative, has an Appointments Set Target that increases from 5 to 15 over the course of five months as Elizabeth ramps into the new role.

After selecting a Metric, optionally refine the list of users you see by filtering for users in a specific Group, users managed by a specific Manager, or search for a specific employee's name.
The Employee Name selector will include only users in the selected Role.
The Group and Manager selections will include all active Groups and Managers. If you make selections that result in no results, ex. selecting a Manager who managers no users in the Role, you can click the "x" on the specific filter or select "Reset Optional Filters" to remove any Group, Manager, or Employee Name filter selections.
To set custom targets, you can make changes to column headers or individual cells.
Note: Targets cannot be set as 0 for higher is better metrics.
Changes made to column headers --> dates will update target values for all contributors in the group. You'll notice that all cells beneath the date call have changed to match your new target value. Additionally, all future dates will be mirrored as well and cascading forward to all future dates infinitely. Make changes to future dates to return target values to their standard level, when appropriate.
↳ Example above updating the Pipeline Created Target to $90,000 for the Account Executives Role as a whole from 3/1/2023 onward.
Changes made to cells --> contributors will cascade forward for that individual contributor infinitely. Make changes to future target cells to return target values to their standard level, when appropriate.
↳ Example above updating Amelia's Individual Target for Pipeline Created to $60,000.
To End a Target Override enter a '-' into the cell. This will remove the custom target and return the selected user to the original scorecard target for the selected role/group.
In the example below, two users had custom targets. Entering a '-' on the month of 4/1 will remove the previous custom targets, returning each user to the original scorecard target of 15,000 for the month.
5. Click the Save Targets button.
