Coaching Permissions
With default Manager Permission Sets in place, you can create Action Plans for subordinate Users.
What's a subordinate user?
A Manager must be listed as at least 1 User's manager, through Groups Types and Groups, or directly via User Settings in order to connect Users to them.
If you've been tasked with creating Action Plans for users you don't manage in Ambition, reach out to your Admin and ensure the Permission Coaching: Create Action Plan = Can Create Action Plan for Anyone

Select an existing Ambition Goal Or create a Goal on the spot for the employee to achieve.
Things to Note:
Completing the Goal will automatically mark the Action Plan Item as complete.
If the Goal is completed but then updated and the target is no longer reached it will automatically revert the Action Plan Item to be incomplete.
Since the Action Plan's completeness depends on Goal completion, we do not advise creating or utilizing Goals where the Goal's End Date is after the Action Plan's Due Date.
To Select an Existing Goal:
- Locate the respective Goal that has previously been created for the Employee from the Existing Goal dropdown.
To Create a new Goal:
- Click the purple New Goal button.
