S.M.A.R.T Goals
We recommend adhering to the S.M.A.R.T system where each goal is specific, measurable, attainable, relevant, and time-bound.
To be as effective as possible, each organization, role, and employee goal should be:
Specific – target a specific area for improvement.
Measurable – provide a way to evaluate. Use metrics or data targets.
Achievable – possible to accomplish and attain during the scope of the goal.
Relevant– state what results can realistically be achieved, given available resources.
