We're back with another update, it's been a busy July! Thank you to Beth at Wayfair, Ciaran at Aerotek, Peter at Veracode for the feedback here and helping us get this new functionality across the finish line.
Over the last several years we've experimented with a lot of different ways to filter users across Ambition functionality and we're excited to have finally unified everything around one system.
Everything starts with the Hierarchy Level which defines your focus for any given functionality. Let's say you're building a new competition... below is where you'll select whether or not you want the competitors to be user vs. user, manager vs manager, location vs. location, etc.
Next you'll determine your scope when drilling into the Hierarchy Level you selected. Do you want all Users, Users within certain pre-existing groups, or a completely custom selection?
Finally, assuming you selected Within or Custom above, you'll make your User selection. What we're most excited about here is the new, global ability to select Users across multiple groups... something previously missing from important functionality like TVs and Triggers. Want to create a new TV Leaderboard that combines both Atlanta and Chicago, on-the-fly? Done!
Enterprise functionality isn't sexy but it's a cornerstone of Ambition, our first customer all those years ago started with 400 licenses and we've continually strived to build and optimize a Fortune 500 platform.
Speaking of sexy... data reprocessing isn't. With that said it's absolutely critical that it's accurate, performant, and flexible when handling the complex situations commonly found within large organizations.
For example, let's say your Outbound Call metric needs additional logic, it's missing a new Salesforce Field that was implemented in May. Also, you just realized you forgot to organize employees into Regions and it would be really nice if you had that level of reporting back to January 1st across all metrics. Whether it's 30,000 records or 3,000,000... we have you covered and can now explicitly schedule reprocessing for off-hours!
In addition, for really large organizations making continual changes to metrics, scoring, and hierarchy we can now batch the updates together to increase performance and align our reprocessing windows with your strategy!
