Edit Groups
Users with "Groups: Edit" permission will be able to access, edit, and delete groups.
"Groups: Edit - Can Edit All Groups" allows for editing and deleting of all groups and "Groups: Edit - Can Edit Subordinate Groups" allows for editing and deleting of groups where the user is listed as a manager.
Users with the "Users: Assign Managers" permission will be able to assign manager permissions to non-managers within the group editor.

Edit Groups Through the Group Manager
1. Open the left navigation and click Administration > People > Groups.
2. Upon accessing the Groups tab, you will see the Group Manager.
If you can have permission to "Edit All Groups", then all group types and groups that your organization has created will be found here. Don't see anything? Click here to learn how to add groups and group types.
If you have permission to "Edit Subordinate Groups", then only group types that contain groups where you are listed as a manager of will be found here. You will have visibility and access to editing groups where you are listed as a manager.
3. Click on the respective group type and then the group's name that you'd like to access/update.
Why would a group not have a "Created By" user listed? Groups created through CSV upload, Salesforce attribute sync, or the User API won't have a creator listed.
4. Make appropriate edits.
Members:
- New members can be added to the group. Reminder, a user can only belong to one group per group type at a time, ex. A user cannot be a member of both the Nashville and Boston location groups.
- Edit the member since date of both new and existing members. The member since date can be backdated to the start of the previous month. If you need a member since date set father back in the past, reach out to gethelp@ambition.com.
- Existing members can be removed from the group.
- Set the group end date, when the user should no longer be considered a member of the group.

Managers:
- Managers can be added and removed from the group.
- A group manager is not required, but there is also no limit to the amount of managers a group can have.
- Listing a user as a manger of a group creates a manager relationship with all the group members. A group manager will be made a manager over all the group members. Learn more about what it means to be a manager in Ambition here.
- Users with existing system manager permission can be added as group managers. If the adding user also has "Users: Assign Managers" permission, users without system manager permission can be added as group managers and will be granted manager permission.

Group Settings:
- The group name can be changed.
- The group image, anthem, and GIF can be changed.

Membership History:
- View a change log of when users were added to and removed from the respective group.
- Filter by name, scorecard group, membership date, and last modified date.

Edit a Group Through Their Dashboard
1. Access the dashboard of the group you wish to edit.
↳ You can search for a specific group's dashboard by name through the search bar in the upper left corner.
2. Click the "Edit Group" button.
You will be navigated into the group editor.
3. Make appropriate edits.

Delete Group
Groups can be deleted in two places:
- within the specific group's group settings
- within the group manager
To delete within group settings:
1. Access the respective group's "Group Settings" tab.
2. Click Delete Group.
3. Confirm deletion by clicking Delete Group.
To delete within the group manager:
1. Check the box by the respective group(s) you wish to delete.
2. Click Delete.
3. Confirm deletion by clicking Delete.
