New Check-Ins, Notes, and More!
Ambition is continuously improving the coaching experience. Thanks to customer feedback, planning sessions, and testing, we're excited to roll out several new additions to our Coaching platform. Today the updates are in beta testing. If you're interested in learning more before it launches to all customers, please reach out to help@ambition.com.
The new release includes the following 5 key updates:
1. One-off Check-ins & Check-in Templates
Managers can now create one-off check-ins that are either scheduled or completed in line (live). Additionally, these one-off check-ins can be added to an employee's existing coaching program to ensure that they are tracked in the coaching utilization reports.
Optionally, teams can create one-off check-in templates that can be used to quickly build a check-in.
2. Shared & Private Notes
Coaching notes can either be Shared or Private, and can include an attachment.
- Shared notes are visible to both the manager & the selected employee.
- Private notes are visible to the manager, not the employee.
All notes can be viewed at once within the manage coaching view.
3. New Emails & Calendar Invites
Managers & employees will now receive new emails when coaching events occur, including updates to check-ins or notes. Additionally, when a one-off check-in is scheduled, the manager can send a calendar invite with a specified duration.
Note: If an employe's action plan is incomplete within one hour of its due date & time, the employee will receive a reminder email alerting them of the upcoming deadline.
4. New Check-in & Action Plan Items
Check-In Items
When building a check-in, there are 3 items to choose from. All can either be required or optional, but there must be at least one required item before saving.
- Question - Employee will be prompted to answer.
- Feedback - Employee will be prompted to acknowledge the manager's feedback.
- Poll - Simple 1-5 point scale.
Action Plan Items
When building a new action plan, there are now 5 items to choose from. All can either be required or optional, but there must be at least one required item before saving.
- Question - Employee will be prompted to answer.
- Feedback - Employee will be prompted to acknowledge the manager's feedback.
- Poll - Simple 1-5 point scale.
- Goal - Employee will be tasked with completing the existing or newly created goal.
- External URL - Employee will be prompted to mark complete. Next, the Manager is prompted to approve the completion of the external URL (ex: training certificate).
5. New Admin View for Coaching
Within the new Manage Coaching view, managers and admin users can find all relevant coaching data from one page. Across the top you can navigate across the following coaching pages:
- Action Plans
- Check-Ins
- Check-In Templates
- Notes
- Programs
- Program Templates
These functional improvements will serve as a spring board to additional coaching updates in the near future. Be on the lookout for more!
