How do I edit an Action Plan Template?
Create Action Plan Template
Users with the "Coaching: Create Action Plan Template" or "Coaching: All Access" permission will be able to create Action Plan Templates.
1. Open the left navigation and click Coaching > Manage.
2. Select Action Plans and then Templates.
3. Click the + Action Plan Template button.
4. Complete the create Action Plan Template form.
Details
Field | Field Description |
Name |
The name of the template, which will be selected from a dropdown menu when a manager creates a new Action Plan. Example: "Cold Calling Development Plan" |
Managers
Select which Managers have access to this template.
Allow All Managers to have access to using the template, or choose Custom and search for and select the specific managers who should have access to using the template.
Agenda
Create the template's agenda by compiling agenda items.
Agenda items can be optional or required, but at least 1 agenda item must be required (not optional) in order to save.

Rich text editor that can provide additional information or context to a coaching agenda. No action for the user to take. |

A question that is answered by the employee on a 1-5 point scale. Example: On a scale from 1-5 (1=low & 5= high) what's your level of confidence in your product knowledge? |

External URL |
A link to a third-party item for the employee to review, complete, etc. Example a LMS module. Note - The Employee and Manager will both be responsible for marking this Action Plan Item as complete. |

Embed URL |
Iframe a 3rd party website directly into the coaching agenda. No action for the user to take. Be aware that not all platforms allow 3rd party embedding. If you are embedding a Google Sheets URL, we recommend embedding a URL generated through the "Publish to web" share option rather than "Share with others". Learn more here. |

Checkboxes |
A list of options for the employee to select, choosing all that apply. An "Other" option is available as well. Example: Which products would you like additional training on? Choose all that apply. |

Multiple Choice |
A list of options for the employees to select, choosing only one. An "Other" option is available as well. Great fit for True/False or Yes/No type questions. Example: Have you completed your monthly review? Yes or No. |

Gong Calls |
Available if the Gong integration is enabled and authorized. Attach one of more Gong calls for the employee to review OR Employees attach one or more of their Gong calls when an Action Plan using the template opens. |
In this example the Employee attached calls and the manager left comments. |
Lessonly Lesson |
Available if the Lessonly API within the Seismic integration is authorized. Select from any public, published Lessonly lessons and add them to coaching agendas. When selecting a lesson, there is no filtering for lessons assigned to a particular employee(s), but rather you will be presented with a list of all public, published lessons that can be added into the coaching agenda. |

The Feedback, Goal, and File Upload Agenda Items are not supported within Action Plan Templates at this time due to their dynamic nature.
5. Click the Create Template button.
Edit Action Plan Template
Users with the "Coaching: Create Action Plan Template" or "Coaching: All Access" permission will be able to create Action Plan Templates.
Creators of Templates will be able to edit and delete the Templates they create. Managers who have access to a Template (selected as a Manager in step 2 of the form) who also have "Coaching: Create Action Plan Template" permission will be able to edit and delete Templates they have access to. Users with "Coaching: All Access" permission can edit and delete all Templates.
1. Open the left navigation and click Coaching > Manage.
2. Select Action Plans and then Templates.
3. Click the icon and Edit in line with the template you wish to edit.
4. Make the appropriate edits.
You may edit all of the same fields that were available during Template creation.
If editing agenda items, note that 1 agenda item must be required (not optional) in order to save.
5. Click the Save Template button to save your changes.
