Edit Action Plans
What parts of an action plan can be edited?
Edit an Action Plan
Users with "Coaching: Create Action Plan" permission will be able to edit Action Plans they create. Co-coaches will be able to edit action plans where they are assigned as a co-coach. Users with "Coaching: All Access" permission can edit all Action Plans unless they are the assigned employee.
The participant of the action plan and users with Executive Visibility, unless they are also the creator, cannot edit the action plan.
1. Access action plans.
Action plans can be accessed through:
- the left navigation > Coaching > Action Plans
- the left navigation > Coaching > Manage > Action Plans
- a User's or Managerial Dashboard > Coaching tab
2. Click the ellipses icon, , and Edit on the action plan you wish to edit.
Completed, Excused, and Expired action plans cannot be edited.
Excused or Expired action plans can be reopened and then edited if needed.
Co-coaches can be added to action plans in any status.

3. Make the appropriate edits.
Details
The employee who the action plan is for cannot be edited.
The due date, time, and time zone can be edited.
Agenda
Agenda items can be added, edited, or removed.
Agenda items from action plan templates can be edited.
Agenda items can be optional or required, but at least 1 agenda item must be required (not optional) in order to save.
If the action plan status was "Pending Approval" (only applicable if an External URL agenda item is marked as required), agenda items that have been answered by the employee can be removed or edited. After saving, the status will update to "Answers Due".
Co-Coaches
Co-coaches can be added or removed.
4. Click Save.
If the action plan status was "Pending Approval" (only applicable if an External URL agenda item is marked as required), the action plan status will update to "Answers Due" and the employee will be notified.
If the action plan status was "Answers Due", no status change will occur and the employee will not be notified.
