How are metrics calculated on a group basis?

Metric Type Calculations for Groups

Metric totals for group roll-up values are dependent upon the type of metric at play - sum, average, count, or recent value.

Things to Note:

Activity Score and Objective Score are treated as average metrics in Ambition.

Advanced/Formula Builder metrics are treated as average metrics on group scorecards.

Group Roll-up Daily Values

Metric Type: Average

Record Based averages only use the records that have come into Ambition (>0) and divide them by the total number of users that have submitted records.

For Example: Colin, Katie, and Caroline are all part of the Account Executive Group. Colin and Katie have each have sold deals today that contributed to their "Average Deal Size" metric while Caroline did not.

The Most Recent Value metric type does not aggregate an individual user's daily values together over time, but Most Recent Value metrics are still computed on a group basis with the offering of sum or average.

Viewing Account Executive data for "Annual Close Rate" on the User > Within > the Account Executive Role hierarchy level will return 70% as 70% + 80% + 60/3 = 70%, but the Account Executive's Role most recent value will be derived from users who submit a value on the last day of the date range.
