How do I create a Competition Slide?

Display competitions on the TV.
Each type of competition - challenges, fantasy competitions, and bracket competitions - will have a different view!

Create a Competition Slide
Users with "TVs: Create" permission will be able to create, edit, and delete slides on TVs they've created.
Users with "TVs: Edit" permission will be able to create, edit, and delete slides on any TV.
Those with TVs: Edit permission will have the additional option to add a competition slide to a TV during competition creation!
1. Open the left navigation and click TVs.
2. Click the number in the slides column on the TV you wish to edit. You can also click the ellipses icon, Edit, and Slides.
Upon clicking Slides, you will see a blank Create Slide form.
3. Complete the Create Slide Form.
Basic Settings
Field Name | Field Description |
Slide Name | The slide name will be displayed on the TV to identify the slide. |
Type | Select Competition from the dropdown. |
Slide Duration | Determine how long this slide will be displayed per carousel rotation. Options range from 10, 20, and 40 seconds to 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 minutes. |
Start Date | When the slide will be visible on the TV. Date defaults to today. |
Delete Date | Optional. When the slide will be removed from the TV and deleted. |
Slide Background | Optional. Upload a background image for the slide. |
Competition Setup
Select the name of the scheduled or active competition to be displayed.
Hidden and completed competitions will not appear as available choices.
What if the competition hasn't started?
A countdown timer will be displayed on the slide if the competition has not yet started.
For recurring challenges, a countdown timer will displayed only before the first occurrence. For subsequent occurrences, the results of the previous competition will be displayed on the slide until the next competition begins.
4. Optionally click the Preview button to preview your competition slide.
Note: Uploaded slide background images will not be viewable through the Preview option.
5. Click the Save button.
Why do I not see images for users or groups on challenge slides?
If the user or group in first place of a challenge has set a GIF in their user or group settings, Ambition will display the GIF on competition slides. However, if the GIF's link has been altered and/or set up incorrectly, the result will be a blank image placeholder.
If all competing entities are at a score of 0, no images will display on the slide.
