Why am I unable to sync a Salesforce report to Ambition?

Last updated: July 24, 2025

Common Causes of Report Sync Issues

Reason #1: It's not a summary or tabular report.

Ambition only accepts summary and tabular report types. Matrix and joint report types are not accepted.

Reason #2: It contains a graph.

Ambition cannot read reports that contain graphs or images.

Reason #3: There is a blank user or date field.

In a summary report, if the grouped user or date fields contain a blank value, the report must be modified to filter out those blank fields. Ambition cannot process blank fields.

For example, "Account Owner is not equal to "".

Reason #4: The report is filtered by a field that Ambition does not have read access to.

Ambition will need to have read access to all filter fields on your report to sync the data as it is shown on your report. Make sure that Ambition has been granted read access to all filter fields.

Reason #5: You recently made modifications to the report.

After making changes to the report, resync the report with Ambition.

To resync the report:

  1. Open the left navigation and click Administration > Integrations > Salesforce > Data Configuration > Reports.

  2. Click Edit beside the report's name that has undergone changes.

  3. Click Sync Report.
