How Do I Create a Managed Recurring Coaching Program?

Managed Programs are often used by Human Resources, Training and Enablement, and Leadership teams to promote top-down accountability, alignment, and consistency when it comes to coaching and compliance across manager teams.

You can think of a Managed Program as an "original" Program that individual managers then receive copies of.

In this article, you'll learn how to create a Managed Program for multiple managers.

Required permissions:

  • The "Coaching: Create Managed Program" or "Coaching: All Access" permission is required to create, edit, and delete Managed Programs.

Access the Managed Program Creation Page

  1. There are two ways to access the Managed Program Creation Page:

    1. From the main menu: Go to Coach --> Sessions --> + Coaching

    2. From your user or managerial dashboard: Go to the Coaching tab --> New Coaching Item --> Coaching

  2. Click on Start Fresh to create a completely customized Managed Program.

  3. Click on Use a Template if you would rather use a Template as a foundation for the Managed Program.

Choose the Managed Program's Name, Format, and Managers

  1. Give the Managed Program a Title and Description. You can optionally add an Objective.

  2. Under the Coaching Format section, pick Managed Recurring Coaching Program.

  3. Click on Add Participants.

  4. Under the Manager(s) section, choose Select All Managers to enroll all managers at your company into the Managed Program. Choose Select Specific Managers if only certain managers should be enrolled.

  5. Under the Employee(s) section, pick All Employees if you want all of the manager's direct, skip-level, and group reports to participate in their respective Program. Choose Direct Reports Only if only the manager's immediate reports will be participants.

Schedule the Managed Program

  1. Click on Add Scheduling to set the meeting date and frequency.

  2. Set a Start Date, Start Time, and Time Zone for the Managed Program.

  3. Under the How often does it repeat? section, determine how frequently Sessions will be generated for each manager's Managed Program.

  4. Enter the Managed Program Sessions' due date and time under the When is each session due? section.

  5. Use the When does the program end? section to designate if the Managed Program will end after a certain date or number of occurrences, or run indefinitely.

Add the Managed Program's Agenda Items and Co-Coaches

  1. Click on Add Agenda and select all Agenda Items to to include in the Managed Program. At least one Agenda Item must be marked as Required.

  2. Click on Add Add-Ons.

  3. Optional: Add a Co-Coach(es) to the Managed Programs. You can add an unlimited number of Co-Coaches.

  4. Click Save to create the Managed Program.
