Last updated: November 6, 2026
Manually adding Custom Targets is best when you need to make quick, focused updates for a specific Role, metric, person, or time period without preparing a CSV file. This article provides the steps for manually adding Custom Targets for one or multiple users.
Required permissions:
The Ambition Scores: Edit permission is required to add Custom Targets.
Required features:
The Scorecards: Custom Targets feature must be enabled to create Custom Targets.
Access the Ambition Score Editor
Go to Admin --> Scorecards.
You'll be taken to the Ambition Score Editor.
Select a Role from the Choose a Role to modify menu under the Select Role section.
Access the Custom Targets Creation Page
Navigate to the Set the Activity Score or Set the Objective Score section.
Click Set Custom Targets.
Select the Role you want to add Custom Targets for. This defaults to the Role chosen on the Ambition Score Editor but can be edited.
Set and Save Custom Targets
In the Ambition Score field, select the Scorecard type you're changing: Activity Score or Objective Score.
Use the Metric menu to select the metric you're adding a Custom Target for.
Optional: Use the Group, Manager, and/or Employee menus to narrow down the list of employees who will appear in the Custom Targets table.
A table will appear showing current Targets for the selected Role, Group, date range, and metric. Daily Activity Scores display Targets broken down weekly.
Click into a cell to manually change a Target. You can enter Custom Targets for multiple employees.
Click Save Targets. Changes can take up to 10 minutes to appear on user and Group dashboards.
Note:
Entering a Custom Target populates it for all subsequent weeks, months, or quarters in the range. Manually enter a different value on a future date to override future Targets.
Optional: Reset Filters or Targets
If you made a mistake when entering filters or targets, click Reset Optional Filters to clear filters or Reset Targets to clear entered values.
