Action Plan Interactions

Manager

The action plan's creator will be the "manager" of the action plan.

For action plans they create, managers can:

• view the action plan

• if an external URL agenda item is part of the action plan agenda, the manager can approve and mark the action plan as complete

• add comments on each agenda item

• remind the employee about the action plan

• extend the action plan's due date and notify the employee

• mark the action plan as excused

• reopen an expired action plan

• manage co-coaches

• edit the action plan

• delete the action plan

Co-Coaches

A co-coach can be any Ambition user, regardless of their permission level.

Being assigned as a co-coach gives the user managerial access to the action plan.

Co-coaches are a great fit for assistant managers or HR professionals who play a role in the coaching process.

For action plans where they are assigned as a co-coach, co-coaches can:

• view the action plan

• if an external URL agenda item is part of the action plan agenda, the co-coach can approve and mark the action plan as complete

• add comments on each agenda item

• remind the employee about the action plan

• extend the action plan's due date and notify the employee

• mark the action plan as excused

• reopen an expired action plan

• manage co-coaches

• edit the action plan

The notable difference between an action plan manager and action plan co-coach is the co-coach cannot delete the action plan.

Employee

The user who is responsible for completing the action plan's agenda will be the "employee" of the action plan.

For action plant they are assigned to complete, employees can:

• view the action plan

• complete agenda items

• add comments on each agenda item

• submit the action plan

"Coaching: All Access" Users

Users who have the "Coaching: All Access" permission can access all action plans.

"All Access" users will be able to take all managerial actions except excusing the action plan or marking the action plan as complete if an external URL agenda item is present. If the "All Access" user created the action plan, they will be able to take all managerial actions.

Executives

If executive level visibility is enabled for your organization, these individuals can act as co-coaches, except for the ability to edit, on action plans for their direct reports and anyone who reports to their direct reports, cascading down the hierarchy.

The notable difference between an action plan co-coach and one with executive visibility is the executive cannot edit the action plan.
