Export Coaching Data from Ambition
Coaching programs, 1:1 check-ins, and action plans can be created to host coaching moments within Ambition. We recognize that coaching history and details surrounding each coaching touch point is powerful, which is why the coaching data generated within Ambition can also be exported.
Ambition offers manual, automated, and programatic coaching exports:
1. Export of specific coaching program data
↳ Provides the details of each check-in session within a coaching program.
2. Export summary data for many check-ins
↳ Provides the summary details of up to 1000 check-ins at a time.
3. Automated email of summary data for many check-ins
↳ Provides the summary details of up to 20000 check-ins at a time.
4. Export employee utilization of coaching in ambition
↳ View which users are/aren't being coached within Ambition.
5. Export manager utilization of coaching in Ambition
↳ View which managers are/aren't coaching within Ambition.
6. Programmatically export coaching data through Ambition's public API
Export Coaching Program or Check-In Data
Quickly access a high level overview of individual coaching check-ins per program or export summary check-in data.
Export Active Coaching Program Data
Program exports will let you know if each respective check-in, sorted by date, has been completed/excused, the optional rating if left by the manager, and any answers submitted in the agenda.
If applicable, attribution metrics will also be visible via the program export.
1. Open the left navigation and click Coaching > Manage.
2. From the manage coaching page, select the Programs tab.
If exporting data from a managed program, select the Managed Programs tab.
3. Click the ellipses icon, , in line with the program you wish to export. Select Export CSV.
Note: Coaching program data for active programs can be exported from within the Manage > Programs, Managed Programs interface. Data for finished programs can be exported through the reports in Coaching > Coaching Analytics or Manage > Check-Ins.
4. Open the downloaded CSV to view coaching program data.
The downloaded report includes:
- program details & objective
- each participant's session
- status of the check-in - Is Complete (true or false)
- is excused (true or false)
- scheduled (true or false)
- average rating
- attribution metrics
- each individual rating category
- each agenda item and response

Export Active or Finished Coaching Program Data
Coaching program reports be accessed through the left navigation > Coaching > Coaching Analytics > Reports tab.
Select the specific program from the Program selector and then click Download.
Export Summary Data for Many Check-Ins
1. Open the left navigation and click Coaching > Manage.
2. From the manage coaching page, select the Check-Ins tab.
3. Click Export Check-Ins.
Alternatively, the "export check-ins" button can also be found through the Coaching > Check-Ins tab.
- The export includes the employee, manager, co-coaches, name of program/managed program/cadence/recurring check-in, template name, status, start date, due date, completed date, and the average rating for the check-in.
- There is a limit of 1000 check-ins per export.
- Users can filter the data on the page to narrow their search results. The check-in data visible is what will be included in the downloaded report.
- The report can include check-ins across programs and/or templates.
4. Open the downloaded CSV to view check-in data.
Note: This export does not include the agenda item responses within the individual check-ins.

Name of the employee in Ambition who is responsible for submitting responses to the check-in's agenda items. |

The email address of the user found in the manager column. |

If applicable, the name of the program which the check-in is related to. |

If applicable, the name of the recurring check-in series which the check-in is related to. |

If applicable, the name of the check-in template which was used to generate the check-in. |

If applicable, the name of the program template which was used to generate the check-in. |
Status |
The check-in's status, includes:

The date the check-in was opened. |
Due Date |
The date the employee's answers are due. |
Completed Date |
The date that the manager approved and marked the check-in as complete. |
Co-Coaches |
If applicable, the names of the check-in's co-coaches. |
Average Rating |
If the manager opts to leave ratings on individual check-ins, the average will be displayed here. |
Export Coaching Utilization Reports
Export Coaching Utilization Reports
1. Open the left navigation and click Coaching > Coaching Analytics.
2. Locate the Reports tab.
3. Select the utilization report you'd like to download.
Options:
Employee Utilization CSV - Details into which employees are/aren't being coached
Manager Utilization CSV - Details into which managers are/aren't coaching
4. Optionally refine the respective utilization report by selecting custom start and or end dates.
The start date of the respective coaching event will be used to determine if the event falls within the optional start and/or end date.
Employee utilization offers an additional optional filer of group.
Click Download.
5. Open the downloaded CSV to view coaching utilization data.

Number of coaching programs that the users is involved in that are still running. |

Number of non-excused check-ins that were generated for the respective user with a start date within the respective time frame. |

Number of non-excused, completed check-ins that have a start date within the respective time frame. |
Check-Ins - Completion Rate |
Number of check-ins completed / number of check-ins started. |
Check-Ins - Average Rating |
If the manager opts to leave ratings on individual check-ins, the average will be displayed here. |
Check-Ins - Last Completion Date |
Year, month, and day of the check-in that was last completed by the employee. |
Action Plans |
Number of action plans created for the employee. |

Number of action plans that have been created and not passed their due date. |

Group Type Information |
Each group type that your organization has created in Ambition will be represented by a column. If a manager is a member of a group with a group type, the specific group will be listed. |
