Scoring ranges establish minimum and maximum scores for specific Scorecard metrics. This article outlines steps for creating scoring ranges for both Higher-is-Better and Lower-is-Better metrics.
Set a Range for a Scorecard Metric
Go to Admin --> Scorecards.
Navigate to the Select Role section and use the Choose a Role to modify menu to select a Scorecard Role.
Scroll to the Set the Activity Score or Set the Objective Score section.
Click the gear icon next to the metric you want to add a scoring range for.
Under Scoring Type, choose Higher is Better (the default) or Lower is Better.
Higher-is-Better Metrics
If you're setting a Higher-is-Better scoring range, enter a Start Value and a Stop Value.
Start Value: The lowest scored value. This is a minimum threshold — employees won't receive points until they hit the Start Value. For example, if the target is 50 calls a day and the Start Value is 40, users won't receive credit for calls until they reach 40.
Stop Value: The highest scored value. Once an employee exceeds the Stop Value, they won't receive additional points for units over that value.
Lower-is-Better Metrics
If you're setting a Lower-is-Better scoring range, enter a Start Value and a Stop Value:
Start Value: The highest scored value. It must be greater than the target.
Stop Value: The lowest scored value. It must be less than or equal to the target.
Save Your Changes
Click Save Scores, then type "I UNDERSTAND" in all capital letters twice to confirm. Your changes will then be applied.
