How Do I Use the Sources Tab?

The Performance Graph's Sources tab lists all data sources that Ambition uses when calculating and analyzing your company's data, from employee and group dashboards to Pipeline Views and the AI agent.

The Sources tab answers the following questions:

  • What data is being tracked in Ambition?

  • Which users can view that information?

  • How can I limit data visibility for certain users?

In this article, you'll learn how to navigate the Sources tab.

Required permissions:

  • The Performance Graph: Manage permission is required to access the Sources tab.

Access the Sources Tab

  1. Go to Admin --> Data --> Performance Graph.

  2. Click on the Sources tab.

  3. You'll see a list of all data collections in Ambition:

    • Coaching

    • Accolades

    • Goals

    • Competitions

    • Directory (including Groups, time off, and activation history)

    • Metrics

    • Records

Review Sources Tab Data Collections

  1. Click on a collection name to open that collection's Access policy and Tables sections.

  2. Review the Access policy section to see who in your organization is able to view each piece of data and where in Ambition they can see it.

  3. Click the hyperlinked text in the Access policy section's Description column for additional information, such as to see your company's Coaching Visibility settings or employees with a certain permission.

  4. Review the Tables section to see a sub-collection of data points from each of the larger data groups -- these are similar to different tabs on a spreadsheet.

  5. To see the rows in an individual table, open that table from the Warehouse tab.
