How do I add a Salesforce ID to an existing user?

Users with missing Salesforce IDs

Users that are manually added or were added before setting up your Salesforce integration may not be automatically associated with a Salesforce ID if there were differences (i.e. the email addresses are different) detected.

Add the ID via Sync users

Only use this method if the user's Salesforce username matches the user's current username in Ambition. Otherwise, using this method will create a second account.

  1. Navigate to Administration > Users.

  2. Click the + Create New User button.

  3. Using the method Sync Users from Salesforce, search for the applicable user in the list of available users.

  4. Check the box next to the user.

  5. Before inviting, uncheck the Send Invite Email(s) option.

  6. Click Sync Users.

Add the ID via CSV upload

  1. Navigate to Administration > Users.

  2. Filter the User list to the applicable user(s).

  3. Export the current user CSV. 📄 How do I export a user list?

  4. Add a column (i.e. Salesforce ID) to the sheet.

  5. Populate the column with each user's 18-digit Salesforce ID.
