Agenda Items for Coaching Events

Ambition's coaching events offer a variety of agenda items that can be used to facilitate your coaching conversation. Agenda items are used to build conversations in 1:1 or group sessions, cadences, programs, and coaching templates.

Available Agenda Items

Question

The question agenda item allows the employee to answer a question in the coaching conversation. Check out our list of recommended questions for your coaching 1:1s.

The question agenda item cannot be used in group sessions or group templates.

Metric Snapshot

Available if the "Coaching: Metric Snapshot Item" feature has been enabled.

You can choose to snapshot up to eight metrics across a single timeframe or one metric across two timeframes in a single agenda item.

The metric snapshot agenda item also includes the ability for the snapshot to be regenerated for situations when metric values were updated after the snapshot was taken or if the metric was deleted. Reprocessing the snapshot does not alert the employee or manager that a change has been made. However, the employee will be alerted if the manager adds or edits an agenda item on the specific occurrence.

The snapshot agenda item cannot be used in group sessions or group templates.

What else do I need to know about the metric snapshot agenda item?

When I reprocess a snapshot, what dates are being used?

When a snapshot is reprocessed, we recapture the selected metric timeframe relative to the date the agenda was opened. For example, if an agenda opened on Wednesday and the metric timeframe is set to "week of", the snapshot will always reflect the employee's contribution for Monday, Tuesday, and up until the snapshot was captured on Wednesday - even if the snapshot is reprocessed on Friday the same week.

Why does the records button appear on some metrics and not others?

The records button is disabled/not present when we don't have records available for a metric in Ambition. This can happen if the metric has been deleted, your organization is not tracking that metric for a given user, or the metric displayed is a formula-based metric (such as Activity Score).

Why is no target shown for a given metric?

The "target" field will only be populated if the selected metric is a scorecard metric for the selected employee and the metric timeframes line up with your scorecard timeframe (daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly).

Pipeline Snapshot

Available if the "Pipeline Intelligence: Pipeline Views" feature has been enabled.

A question for the employee to answer that is built upon a preconfigured pipeline view or template.

The pipeline snapshot agenda item cannot be used in group sessions or group templates.

Feedback

The feedback agenda item can be used to provide a list of strengths, weakness, areas of improvement, or any other topic. The employee will be prompted to acknowledge the manager's feedback and can comment on the topic.

The feedback agenda item cannot be used in cadences, programs created for multiple employees, group sessions, or group templates.

Content Block

The content block is a rich text editor that allows managers to provide additional information or context to their coaching agenda. It can be used to give more information about the coaching program initiative, to provide company updates, or link 3rd party URLs.

Poll

The poll agenda item is a question that is answered by the employee on a 1-5 point scale.

Example: On a scale from 1-5 (1=low & 5= high) what's your level of confidence in your product knowledge?

The poll agenda item cannot be used in group sessions or group templates.

External URL

The external URL agenda item provides a link to a third-party item for the employee to review, complete, etc.

Example: A LMS module the user needs to complete.

The employee and manager will both be responsible for marking this agenda item as complete.

The external URL agenda item cannot be used in group sessions or group templates.

Embed Media

The embed URL agenda item allows teams to iframe videos from YouTube and Vimeo or content from 3rd party websites. This can be helpful when discussing content and reports that live outside of Ambition.

Note - Not all platforms allow 3rd party embedding. We currently have customers bringing in Microsoft PowerBI, Google Sheets, and Chorus.ai.

If you are embedding a Google Sheets URL, we recommend embedding a URL generated through the  "Publish to web" share option rather than "Share with others". Learn more here.

Video Embed

Website Embed

File Upload

The file upload agenda item requires the employee to take action on an accompanying file. The employee will be prompted to acknowledge the uploaded file. The max file size is 2MB.

The file upload agenda item cannot be used in cadences, group sessions, or group templates.

Checkboxes

The checkboxes agenda item provides a list of options for the employee to select, choosing all that apply. An "Other" option is available as well.

Example: Which products would you like additional training on? Choose all that apply.

The checkboxes agenda item cannot be used in group sessions or group templates.

Multiple Choice

The multiple choice agenda item provides a list of options for the employees to select, choosing only one. An "Other" option is available as well. Great fit for True/False or Yes/No type questions.

Example: Have you completed your monthly review? Yes or No.

The multiple choice agenda item cannot be used in group sessions or group templates.

Seismic Learning

Available if the Seismic Learning API within the Seismic integration has been authorized. Learn more here.

The Seismic Learning agenda item allows a manager to add Seismic Learnings lessons to coaching agendas for employees to complete. A manager will be able to select from any public, published lessons and add them to coaching agendas. When selecting a lesson, there is no filtering for lessons assigned to a particular employee(s), but rather the manager will be presented with a list of all public, published lessons that can be added into the coaching agenda.

The Seismic Learning agenda item cannot be used in group sessions or group templates.

Gong Calls

The Gong calls agenda item allows a manager to either select calls for the employee to review, "Select Calls Now", or request that their employee select the calls for review, "Have Employee Select Calls". These calls can be searched or filtered for, and are directly attached to the coaching agenda where they can be viewed and watched within Ambition.

Select Calls Now - Attach one of more of your employee's recorded Gong call to their session.

The "Select Calls Now" option is available to be used when creating single sessions.

Calls are selected by the creator of the agenda and you can additionally ask employees to leave feedback on the selected calls.

Have Employee Select Calls - Have you employee attach one or more of their Gong calls when the session opens.

The "Have Employee Select Calls" option is available to be used when creating sessions, cadences, programs, managed programs, and coaching templates created for an individual.

Calls are selected by the employee and you can additionally ask employees to leave feedback on the selected calls.

The Gong Calls agenda item cannot be used in group sessions or group templates.

Zoom Calls

Available if the Zoom integration is enabled and authorized. Click here to learn more.

The Zoom calls agenda item allows a manager to request for their employee to attach Zoom calls for review or discussion. The manager can additionally request that feedback be left on the selected calls.

The Zoom Calls agenda item cannot be used in group sessions or group templates.
