1:1 Check-Ins
1:1 Check-Ins are included in Coach, Pro, and Enterprise Packages.
1:1 Check-Ins can be created for a single User that are either Scheduled or completed in line (Live). Additionally, 1:1 Check-Ins can be tied into an existing Coaching Programs to ensure that all coaching data is tracked in the Coaching Utilization Reports.

Create a 1:1 Check-In
Users with the "Coaching: Create Check-In" or "Coaching: All Access" permission will be able to create Check-ins.
"Can Create Check-Ins for Anyone" or "Coaching: All Access" allows creation of an Action Plan for anyone.
Combined with Manager Permissions, "Can Create Check-Ins for Subordinate Users" allows for creation of Check-Ins for users the manager manages.
What's a subordinate user?
A Manager must be listed as at least 1 User's manager, through Groups Types and Groups, or directly via User Settings in order to connect Users to them.
Special Note if you manage another Manager - If you are listed as a Manager's Manager within their User Settings, any employees that roll up to them will also be considered your subordinate users.

1. Create a 1:1 Check-In via:
- the Quick Actions button (plus sign in the upper right corner), click Coach and Develop > Check-In
- a User or Managerial Dashboard > Coaching tab > New Coaching Item > Check-in
- left navigation > Coaching > Check-Ins
- left navigation > Coaching > Manage > Check-Ins > Overview

2. Optionally name the Check-In, ex. Monday 1:1.
3. Select the Who and When of the Check-In.

Request an Update |
Agenda will be completed by employee. No explicit time is set to review check-in with Manager. If Request an Update is selected, you will additionally have the question of, "Is this a recurring update?" Co-Coaches
4. Optionally select Co-Coaches to assist during Check-Ins.
A Co-Coach will be assigned to the Check-In as well to assist the Manager.

Don't see the Co-Coaches option? If your package supports Co-Coaches, the feature can be enabled by any user with Admin permissions. Left navigation > Administration > Features. Within the Manage Features interface, click on the Features tab. Locate the Coaching: Co-Coaches feature, and toggle "On".
Scheduling
5. Schedule 1:1 for Later and Request an Update check-in types will be prompt you to pick the "when" of your Check-In.

If "Yes" was selected as the answer to the "Is this a recurring 1:1 or update", you will establish the recurrence for your 1:1 or update.

When does the recurrence end? |
Would you like for this 1:1 to run indefinitely, after a set amount of occurrences, or end on a certain date? If "Never" is selected, the Check-In will continue to reoccur until manually Finished. If "After x Occurrences" is selected, the Check-In will finish after it's occurred the set amount of times. If a specific date is selected, no new Check-Ins will be created after the respective date. |

Based on the recurrence options selected above, the first 5 meeting dates, if applicable, your Check-In will occur will be displayed. Verify the expected cadence matches the meeting dates summary presented. |

6. Complete the Agenda by selecting a pre-made Template or compiling Items
Template
If a 1:1 Check-In template has already been created and made available for you to use, the template can be selected from this dropdown to auto-populate the Agenda Items.
These items may be editable, depending on the Template's settings.

New Item
The Check-In's agenda may consist of a variety of questions and polls for the user to answer, or contain feedback and file uploads for the user to acknowledge.

Available if the Gong integration is enabled and authorized. Attach one of more Gong calls for the employee to review OR Employees attach one or more of their Gong calls when the check-in opens. |

7. Schedule or Complete Check-In.
If you selected 'Schedule 1:1 for Later' in Step 1, click the Create Check-In button.
If you selected 'Start 1:1 Now' in Step 1 and filled out the agenda items in person, click the Complete Check-In to record the coaching session.
If you selected 'Request an Update' in Step 1, click the Request Update button.
